Jeremy Pruitt
Senior Pastor
I was saved at the age of 12 during Vacation Bible School at Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Magnolia, Texas. In March of 1995 while visiting the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem, Israel I surrendered to the call of God to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Since that time, I have sought to faithfully preach the Word of God and serve the Lord as He has directed. I am firmly committed to the inerrancy, inspiration, infallibility, authority and sufficiency of holy Scripture, preaching the truth of the Word of God without apology.
My educational pursuit has enabled me to earn a Diploma Certificate of Biblical Studies through the Temple Baptist Seminary of Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee; a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University in Shreveport, LA; the Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas; the Master of Theology degree, also from Southwestern; and currently, I am a PhD student at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN. I am blessed with my precious helpmeet in my wife of 31 years, Delanie Pruitt. Together, we have 5 children: Jacob (who is with the Lord), Ethan (29 yrs.), Jamie (27 yrs.), Abigail (25 yrs.), and Joel (23 yrs.). We also have three grandchildren: Vinny (7yrs.), Elle (3yrs.), Jeremy Ronald (with the Lord); and we have baby Pruitt on the way!
I am passionate about preaching the whole counsel of God’s Word, without compromise and without apology! It has been my privilege and joy to pastor churches Texas and Louisiana. I have also had the awesome privilege of serving as a Chaplain in the United States Army to the 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion at Fort Carson, Colorado. God has been so good. The Pruitt's are THRILLED to now be a part of the Samples Memorial family, and we can't wait to see all that God will do in the days ahead!
